# EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The carpentry sector in the Philippines continues to face critical challenges in workforce readiness, project planning, and service quality. Despite over 12,000 graduates from TESDA NC II programs, many still lack the hands-on expertise needed to meet industry standards (Orbeta & Corpus, 2021), as reflected in a craftsmanship index score of 3.12 (Salleh et al., 2022). Inefficiencies in planning further compound the problem, with 75% of carpenters relying on informal methods and 60% experiencing project delays and budget overruns (GlobalData UK Ltd., 2023; ASEAN Journal of Management & Innovation, 2022). Interviews with construction managers and surveys confirm that poor coordination and the lack of standard protocols are major contributors to reduced quality, with 80% of carpenters advocating for standardized planning (Rover Danny et al., 2022). In Southeast Asia, issues such as underperforming government housing projects and inconsistent execution underscore the urgency of reform (Ravelo, 2019; Wuala & Rarasati, 2020; Tariq & Gardezi, 2023). To address these issues, this capstone project introduces CCarp, an innovative digital platform that enhances job accessibility for carpenters and promotes standardized project workflows. CCarp allows clients to post projects virtually, enabling carpenters to evaluate, accept, and plan jobs efficiently, while offering real-time progress monitoring tools to ensure transparency and quality. By focusing on improving client-carpenter matching, establishing structured planning processes, and enabling detailed quality control, the platform aims to increase job accessibility by 30%, improve project completion efficiency by 20%, and reduce complaints by 25%. Though the platform is initially limited to Davao City and requires access to compatible devices, it offers a scalable model for reforming the carpentry trade. Ultimately, CCarp serves as a practical, tech-driven solution that strengthens project outcomes and contributes to future policy, innovation, and professionalization within the construction sector.
